Eddie Halliwell Exclusive Interview for HULA -3 days till HULA!
_Eddie Halliwell answers our questions about the gig on saturday...
So, after EDC you're finally making your comeback in Los Angeles and this time at Circus for "HANDSUPLA!" how do you feel about that?
Eddie.H: I can't wait - I love playing in LA.
How was your last experience at Circus when you last played there?
Eddie.H: From what I remember it was quality. Great atmosphere, great crowd - great night!
Now unlike The Electric Daisy Carnival, this time you will be much closer to the crowd. Does that mean we should get ready to catch you?
Eddie.H: Who knows!? I sometimes lose myself in the music when I am really in to it and the crowd are good - so the crazier the crowd, the more likely I am to stage dive!
Are you planning on playing anything specific for that night? Any surprises you have in store for us?
Eddie.H: I never plan a set - I play to the crowd. I play right across the board musically, from House, Trance and Techno so expect anything and everything. I will be playing a lot of my own re-edits of tracks I love.
I know you're a big fan of Marcus Schossow's work, how do you feel about playing with him at HULA?
Eddie.H: Yep, Marcus is really doing the damage on the dancefloor with his productions at the moment, and I'm looking forward to hopefully catching his set at HULA.
You’re part of a minority in the sense that you’re a big name DJ, but you make your name purely from the art of DJing. In other words, you don’t have any production going on as well. How does it feel when you’re headlining a major festival and everyone else on the bill is a producer, while you are the solitary ‘pure’ DJ?
Eddie.H: I love performing, I love pleasing the crowd - it's what I do. I'm not saying I'll never produce, but DJing is my first love and real passion.

Alessandro Bacci (29), aka Alex Kenji, is an internationally renowned and respected DJ/producer with over 10 years experience of producing, DJ’ing, and performing. As well as ‘Alex Kenji’, he has released records under host of pseudonyms including: Yoshie Chandler, Combo, Green Sugar, HouseLovers, D.L.D., Orange Love, Kaiko, Itchy Bit and many others.
